Random Pieces of Art I Like This Week

There's this painting I like. It's of two girls playing musical instruments. It's aptly called Two Musician Girls. I actually got to see it in person when I was in Istanbul. It was only then that I realized: Something's weird about her arm, right? Something about the perspective is off, it looks like there's three joints in her right arm. And it's weirdly elongated.      There's this album called Walkin' My Cat Named Dog. Just an incredible name for an album, I found it really funny. And I really liked how the album cover looks.      Another great album cover, for Esmeray. I really love the design of her logo, it's so wavy and fun. And I think the white and blue color scheme looks very pretty.      On that note, I stumbled onto the song "Hey, Who Really Cares." which is another great title, need to hear it from time to time. The album cover is just increadible, it blows me away. I love the color scheme, I love the composi...

Dapper Fruit Man (Collagetober #1)

I found this Collagetober 2024 prompt list online and I thought, since it is neither October nor 2024, it's a really good time to make some digital collage. The first prompt was "Portrait" and I immediately thought to use apricot seeds as eyes. And then it just fell into place from there. I thought using a plum for the chin was fun. Used PowerPoint and Paint. Samus is REAL

Image
In my head, there is this little family of video games that aren't officially connected, but spiritually they are siblings. Well, Portal and Half-Life are officially connected. But Mirror's Edge is spiritually sisters with Portal, and Perfect Dark is spiritually siblings with Half-Life, and Metroid is part of that family. A year ago, I beat Metroid 1, and I liked it a lot! I drew my own map and everything! I decided not to take any hints from the internet, though I broke that rule on one part that I was stuck on. The game still has a really cool atmosphere!     I beat the game in around 13 hours total, which gave me the helmeted ending. There's this one room, right before Kraid's lair, that looks like his face.     Since beating the game I've grown an interest in looking up concept art and comics and commercials specifically about the first game. It's so interesting to me to see how Samus and this world were depicted so early in the history o...
